Vendor vax mandate

On hold, but may revive

The Jan. 18, 2022 deadline for federal contractors to be vaccinated against COVID-19 is currently in some contracts, but is not being enforced due to a judge’s ruling putting a “stay” on the mandate, blocking it nationwide.

But contractors should be aware that the status quo could change abruptly. “A court decision could reverse that stay at any time with no notice,” Stephanie Kostro, a vice president of the Professional Services Council, said in a recent interview. “Don’t necessarily think that this vaccine mandate is going away.”
