Federal acquisition authorities are seeking comments from industry on these proposals:
WOSB certification - The SBA seeks input from the public on how to structure a certification program for women-owned small businesses (WOSBs and economically-disadvantaged WOSBs). Choice include programs to be run by a federal agency, state governments, the SBA or a national certifying body approved by SBA. Comments are due by Feb. 16. LPTA - The Defense Dept. proposes to amend the DFARS to implement sections of the 2017 NDAA that set limits on LPTA source selection processes. Comments are due by Feb. 4. Read the DFARS proposed rule on LPTA at: https://bit.ly/2RsKeBu.

Rubio new chair of Senate small biz panel
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-FL, was approved by GOP colleagues as the new chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
“As chairman, my top priority is to pass bipartisan legislation that will expand economic opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs,” Rubio said about his new post.
