“Corrective action” on SEWP V
NASA plans “corrective action” -- apparently sooner rather than later -- on the multiple protests it has received on the SEWP V contracts.
“NASA has determined that it will undertake corrective action in regards to the multiple protests received by the agency and those before the Government Accountability Office," NASA wrote in an email to FCW on Nov. 14, the newspaper said.
"NASA will re-evaluate proposals as necessary. Based on the results of this re-evaluation, NASA will make new selection decisions. Until the corrective action is complete, any awarded SEWP V contracts remain suspended,” NASA wrote in the email.
NASA last month awarded 73 contracts under SEWP V for hardware, software and related services, including small business awards. There are 17 protests pending resolution.
SEWP V originally was to go into operation in November, but because of the protests SEWP IV was extended to April 2015.
NASA officials were not immediately available.
