The Coast Guard announced it expects to release the DHS SPIRIT contract before the end of this month. SPIRIT is a multiple award contract for information technology services for the entire Homeland Security Department. It is expected to include some set-asides.

In its announcement, the Coast Guard said the release was delayed because its Washington headquarters was shut down for more than a week due to damage from Hurricane Isabel.

The contracting office also said it is working with SBA to resolve some issues related to the 8(a) set-aside portion of the contract.

The Energy Department’s National Energy Technology Laboratory intends to issue a solicitation for Technical and Management Support (TAMS). This is a small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 541330. This support contract will provide planning, program management, and communications support to federal project managers, product managers, policy analysts, public affairs officers, and researchers. The services will be provided at locations in Pittsburgh, PA, Morgantown, WV, Tulsa, OK, and Alaska.
