The Commerce Department’s National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration blamed a “clerical error” on the FedBizOpps announcement stating that the National Weather Service required 46,000 rounds of ammunition.

The solicitation actually originated from the “NOAA Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement” and not the National Weather Service, according to a report from the Washington Post.

Also confusing: the original RFP said delivery was to the National Marine Fisheries Service.
