  • Recent Defense Contract Awards to Small Businesses

    Navy

    Centuria Corp., Reston, VA (N65236-12-D-4849); Forward Slope Inc., San Diego (N65236-12-D-4850); Geocent LLC, Metairie, LA (N65236-12-D-4851); Global InfoTek Inc., Manassas, VA. (N65236-12-D-4852); KAB Laboratories Inc., San Diego (N65236-12-D-4853); Sentek Consulting, San Diego. (N65236-12-D-4854); and X-Feds Inc., San Diego (N65236-12-D-4855), were awarded IDIQ contracts for the procurement of engineering and technical services to support core infrastructure and application service integration requirements.  With options, the cumulative value of these contracts is anestimated $249,590,000.  The contracts were competitively procured after exclusion of sources under small business set-aside provisions via the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center e-Commerce Central website and the Federal Business Opportunities website, with 10 offers received.  Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, SC, is the contracting activity.

    Hydraulics International Inc., Chatsworth, CA, is being awarded a $22,348,042 contract for the A/F27T-12 hydraulic component test stand.  This contract provides for the procurement of three pilot production units of the main hydraulic console along with related items. This contract was competitively procured under an electronic request for proposals as a small business set-aside; two offers were received.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ is the contracting activity.

    Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, GA, is being awarded a $7,144,844 contract for 98 multi-function control display (MFCD) units; 40 spare MFCD units and other items.  Work will be performed in Milwaukee, WI (58%); Largo, FL. (24%); and Atlanta, GA. (18%).    This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-5. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD, is the contracting activity (N00019-12-C-0062). 

    W.M. Robots LLC, Colmar, PA, is being awarded a $11,479,743 modification to previously awarded contract (N00174-11-D-0015) for the procurement of Vallon mine detectors and consumable spares. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, MD, is the contracting activity.

    Navmar Applied Sciences Corp., Warminster, PA, is being awarded a $44,616,448 contract for continued Persistant Ground Surveillance System support of forward operating bases throughout Afghanistan for the Army. Work will be performed in Afghanistan (90 percent), and Yuma Proving Ground, AZ (10%).  This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-2.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-12-C-0312).

    RORE-ITSI, JV LLC, San Diego, is being awarded $7,379,329 task order HC08 under a previously awarded contract (N62742-09-D-1186) for construction of a ground control tower at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI.  Three proposals were received for this task order.  The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, HI, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI, is the contracting activity.

    Defense Information Systems Agency

    SCD Information Technology, LLC, Columbia, MD, was awarded a contract for on-site preventative, predictive, and remedial hardware maintenance and internal hardware operating system’s software, engineering changes, and other related hardware maintenance services.  The total contract ceiling is $40,000,000. Performance will be at the Defense Information Systems Agency Computing Services Directorate processing centers, or its successor, as well as satellite installations/information processing centers, at various locations. 

    The original solicitation was issued as a competitive 8(a) set-aside action and two proposals were received.  Solicitation was issued and posted to the Federal Business Opportunities and the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization Contracting Opportunities websites.  The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, IL, is the contracting activity (HC1028-12-D-0030).

    Defense Logistics Agency

    Truman Arnold Companies Inc., Texarkana, TX, was issued a modification on contract SP0600-10-D-4037/P00005.  The award is a fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract with a maximum $14,281,672 for fuel.  Other locations of performance are West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, and District of Columbia. There were 26 responses to the Federal Business Opportunities solicitation. The Defense Logistics Agency Energy, Fort Belvoir, VA, is the contracting activity.

    Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc., San Diego was awarded a contract with a maximum $6,802,562 for pharmaceuticals. There was one response to the Defense Logistics Agency Internet Bid Board System solicitation. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia is the contracting activity (SPM2D0-12-D-0012).

      Tug Technologies Corp., Kennesaw, GA, is being awarded a contract with a maximum $633,000,000 for procurement of commercial type material handling equipment.  There were 26 proposals with 26 responses. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia is the contracting activity (SPM8EC-12-D-0005).
