NASA verifying resellers

The popular NASA “SEWP” acquisition program has launched a new feature identifying “authorized resellers” with the goal of protecting the supply chain.

The Established Authorized Reseller Program (EARP) was to go into effect on July 31, according to a news release,

The new program could be significant for small businesses because many resellers are small firms.

NASA SEWP established several requirements for the original manufacturer to verify its resellers.

The default for SEWP will be to restrict quoting to SEWP contract holders that have been verified by the original manufacturer as authorized resellers, the NASA news release said.

However, SEWP customers will have the option to turn off EARP and receive quotes from any SEWP contract holder.
