DOD micropurchases
The Defense Department announced it had raised the micropurchase threshold to $5,000, up from $3,500, this month, and the new threshold is now in effect.
In addition, the micropurchase threshold for DOD basic research and science and technology laboratory work was raised to $10,000.
The increases were ordered under the NDAA of 2017.
DOD issued a Class Deviation to provide for the change.
However, for some purchases, micro-purchase thresholds below $5,000 remain in effect.
