Highway Trust Fund depleted

Advocates for road construction, transportation and commerce are sounding the alarm about Congress taking no action to restore the Highway Trust Fund before it runs out of money in August.

The trust fund allocated $37 billion to states for highway projects for fiscal 2014, but the Transportation Department predicts the fund will be depleted by August. Many projects may be put on hold.
