  • Recent Defense Contract Awards to Small Businesses

    NAVY

    Head Inc., Columbus, OH, is being awarded a $16,994,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of vertical landing pads at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, SC. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 12 proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southeast, Jacksonville, FL, is the contracting activity (N69450-12-C-1758).

    Guam Pacific International LLC, Barrigada, Guam, is being awarded $7,363,353 for firm-fixed-price task order 0005 under a previously awarded multiple award construction contract (N40192-10-D-2800) for the retro commissioning of facilities at Andersen Air Force Base.Six proposals were received for this task order.  The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Marianas, Guam, is the contracting activity. 

    Craig Technologies Consulting Inc., Melbourne, FL (N65236-12-D-3815); Gstek Inc., Chesapeake, VA (N65236-12-D-3816); INDUS Technology Inc., San Diego (N65236-12-D-3817); Mandex Inc., Fairfax, VA (N65236-12-D-3818); PMILS LLC, Frederick, MD (N65236-12-D-3819); and Technical & Project Engineering LLC, Kingstowne, VA (N65236-12-D-3820), are being awarded a $9,571,641 IDIQ, cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based, multiple award contract to provide program management and integrated logistics to support the Navy, and other Department of Defense and federal agencies. These contracts include options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of these contracts to an estimated $47,858,205. Work will be performed in Charleston, SC, and Washington, DC. These multiple award contracts were competitively procured with proposals solicited and nine offers received via the Federal Business Opportunities website, and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center e-Commerce Central website. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, SC, is the contracting activity.

    Detyens Shipyard Inc., North Charleston, SC, is being awarded an $8,108,084 firm-fixed-price contract for a 55 calendar day shipyard availability for the regular overhaul and dry docking of Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS John Lenthall (T-AO 189).  Work will include cleaning and repairing anchor chains; performing port main engine 12,000 hour maintenance; performing propeller maintenance; cleaning switchboard controllers; replacing the air conditioning chillers; and cleaning and painting the underwater hull. The contract includes options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $9,403,434. This contract is a small business set-aside, with more than 50 companies solicited and three offers received. The U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Fleet Support Command, a field activity of Military Sealift Command, is the contracting authority (N40442-12-C-1005)

    Blackhawk Constructors LLC, San Antonio, TX, is being awarded a maximum amount $30 million firm-fixed-price, IDIQ construction contract for projects at various locations within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest area of responsibility. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 12 proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest, Silverdale, WA, is the contracting activity (N44255-12-D-7009).
