Which 50 infrastructure projects are President Trump’s priorities?

President Trump’s team reportedly has been circulating a preliminary list of 50 infrastructure projects around the country that are considered priorities.

The cost of the projects is at least $138 billion, according to the McClatchy news service, which obtained a list of the projects.

The Trump transition team reportedly passed on the list to the National Governors Association in December. A nearly identical list is said to be circulating among lawmakers and business leaders.

The Trump team’s “Priority List” of “Emergency & National Security Projects” includes cost estimates and possible job impact numbers. It was not immediately clear how costs would be paid for--whether through taxpayers, private investments, or a combination.

The list is considered preliminary. Some states have several projects, while others have none. Politically, it seems likely that the GOP-led Congress would be more willing to fund projects in GOP-dominated states and may be skeptical about major projects on the priority list--such as the $14.2 billion Second Avenue Subway in New York City and the $4.5 billion Purple Line in Maryland--which are both in Democratic-majority states.

Separately, Senate Democrats also unveiled their $1 trillion plan to develop the nation’s roads, airports, bridges and seaports, which they said would create 15 million jobs over 10 years.
