The Defense Information Systems Agency has released the draft RFP for its Encore II IT Solutions contracts. Encore II will establish multiple-award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts to provide the full range of information technology solutions required by the Defense Department and other federal agencies. DISA intends to award at least two contracts to small businesses, one of which will be woman-owned and one of which will be service-disabled veteran owned. The Transportation Security Administration is taking a unique approach to subcontracting on a proposed contract to provide background investigations. Large primes bidding on the contract will be required to serve as a mentor in the Homeland Security Department’s mentor-protégé program. Postal Service is soliciting qualification statements from construction firms wanting to be placed on a list of prequalified design/build general contractors for construction of new or expanded facilities and major repair and alteration projects in northern California.
