Less time to comment on past performance
Federal contractors will have less than half as much time to comment on past performance evaluations from federal agencies as they did in the past, under a new proposed regulation.
The new proposed rule would reduce the window of opportunity to 14 days, from 30, after which the agency would be allowed to post the evaluation in the Past Performance Information Retrieval System, according to the Federal Register notice.
The vendor's comments also can be added later, after the review has been uploaded to to the past performance system.
Comments about the new rule are due by Oct. 7.
The Federal Acquisition Regulation Council made the changes to existing rules to conform with section 853 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013.
