Federal contractors are experiencing growth in niche markets, according to two recent studies.

The top three markets for the next 12 months are cybersecurity, cited by 45%, cloud computing and software-as-a-service, 35%, and health information technology, 33%, according to a Market Connections Inc. survey of 272 contracting professionals.

Sixty-two percent expected revenue growth in 2012, while 19% predicted flat revenues.

In a separate study by Bloomberg Government, federal contractors specializing in health technology, surveillance and services for military special operations experienced growth in fiscal 2011.
