Contracts down by $14B in ‘14

Total federal contract spending dropped to $448 billion in fiscal 2014, down 3% from $462 billion the year before, according to the a new study by Bloomberg Government.

About $115 billion was procured through Multiple-Award Contracts (MACs); small businesses won 40% of the spending on those contracts.

“Recent rules encourage the use of small-business set-asides on MACs, and small businesses will continue winning a substantial share of money on MACs,” the report said.
