Prepping for CIO-SP4
The NITAAC is giving industry at least six months to prepare for the upcoming CIO-SP4 contract for IT products and services.
The National Institutes of Health IT Acquisition and Assessment Center recently released a draft solicitation that includes large and small businesses in a single track, rather than separate tracks as in CIO-SP3.
NITAAC officials anticipate reserving 200 to 300 awards for small businesses, including 25 to 75 for participants in the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development program. There also will be 75 to 125 unrestricted awards.
The final Request for Proposals is expected to be released in December 2020. There will be a five-year base and a five-year option with a $40 billion ceiling. That is twice the ceiling of the current CIO-SP3 contract.
