  • GOP chair hits DOI over OSDBU listing

The chair of the House Small Business Committee is accusing the Interior Department of violating the Small Business Act in its job opening announcement for a new “OSDBU” director. That refers to the department’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization.

Rep. Sam Graves, R-MO, raised the concerns in a letter to Interior Secretary Sally Jewell on May 12, according to FederalNewsRadio.

Graves alleges that the job anouncement contains three violations: it does not explicitly name the required core competencies; it fails to state that the OSDBU director must report directly to the secretary; and the job description is incomplete.
