  • Recent Defense Contract Awards to Small Businesses

    NAVY

    Global Technical Systems Inc., Virginia Beach, VA is being awarded an $84,900,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for production of the Common Processing System spares and associated engineering services. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with two offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, DC is the contracting activity (N00024-14-D-5213).

    Tyonek Services Corp., Anchorage, AK is being awarded a $17,302,958 modification to a previously awarded, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N61340-13-D-0005) for depot level maintenance support services for the Fleet Readiness Center South East. Work will be performed primarily at the Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL (81%). The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, FL is the contracting activity.

    DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

    Gaithersburg Farmers Supply Inc., Gaithersburg, MD has been added to a series of multiple award contracts with an aggregate estimated $87,500,000 fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment contract for the procurement of commercial type agricultural equipment. This contract was a competitive acquisition with nine offers received and it is anticipated that a minimum of five awards will be made. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, PA (SPE8EC-14-D-0017).

    Treen Box & Pallet Corp., Bensalem, PA (SPM8EF-12-D-0003/P00106); and Cutter Lumber Products, Livermore, CA (SPM8EF-12-D-0004/P00107) have each been awarded modifications exercising the first option period on fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts to provide wooden pallets. These contract actions have a maximum value of $48,000,000. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, PA.

    Allied Joint Venture, Miami Lakes, FL has been awarded a maximum $20,000,000 modification (P00047) exercising the second option period on a twenty-month base contract (SPM2DS-11-D-0001) with two twenty-month option periods. This is a firm-fixed-price contract for delivery of various medical, dental, hospital, and surgical supplies. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, PA.

    ARMY

    Onopa/Dorado Joint Venture II, Sanford, FL (W912P8-14-D-0014); Conquistador Dorado, Joint Venture, Sanford, FL (W912P8-14-D-0015); Xpert’s Inc., San Juan, PR (W912P8-14-D-0016); Coastal/QRI Joint Venture, New Orleans, LA (W912P8-14-D-0017); TFR Enterprise Inc., Leander, TX (W912P8-14-D-0018); and TFR Enterprise Inc., Leander, TX (W912P8-14-D-0019) will share a $580,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for advanced contracting initiative debris management services for the United States and its territories (small business set-aside). Bids were solicited via the Internet with 21 received. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, LA is the contracting activity.

    Alatec Inc., Huntsville, AL was awarded a $7,689,231 modification (P00002) to firm-fixed-price contract W9124Q-13-D-0003 for analytic mission support services to the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Analysis Center at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. Army Contracting Command, White Sands Missile Range, NM is the contracting activity.

    SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND

    K-CRUZ, Yorktown, VA is being awarded a $48,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide non-personal services for technical and logistic support for the Technology Applications Program Office, Mission Enhanced Little Bird, and Special Operational Mission Planning Environment program offices. The majority of the work will be performed in Fort Eustis, VA. This contract was awarded through competitive 100% 8(a) small business set aside, and three offers were received. US Special Operations Comand, Tampa, FL is the contracting activity (H92241-14-D-0005).
