    • DATA Act to have far-reaching impact

          The new “DATA Act” law is expected to have major effects on federal agencies, contractors and grantees. Agencies have three years to put new reporting requirements in effect to track federal spending.

          “It will be unbelievably complex – requiring changes in federal regulations, and in the written terms of every federal grant, contract and loan agreement of $25,000 or more,” writes John Kamensky, senior fellow at the IBM Center for the Business of Government.
