GSA: New Name for GWAC
GSA has renamed its proposed Integrations multiple award contract. It’s now called OASIS, for One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services.
Steve Kempf, commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service, said the business case for the new governmentwide acquisition contract will be presented to the Office of Management and Budget shortly. The multiple award contract will have a maximum value of up to $48 billion.
In an interview with Federal News Radio in Washington, Kempf described the contract as “a total integrated solution that reaches across the enterprise."
OMB requires agencies to present a business case establishing the need for a new contract vehicle. GSA officials have said OASIS is different from the agency’s other offerings because it will enable customers to acquire complex integrated professional services along with supporting technology.
If the business case is approved, Kempf said GSA will schedule webinars with industry organizations and create a customer working group to advise on how to structure the contract. Agency officials plan “listening sessions” at GSA Expo 2012 in San Antonio May 15.
GSA has set up an online Integrations Industry Community for communication with industry at http://interact.gsa.gov/group/integrations-industry-community.
