The Naval Facilities Engineering Command at Great Lakes, IL, plans an industry forum April 12 to discuss two upcoming solicitations:

Solicitation number N40083-05-R-4006 is an 8(a) set-aside to construct a drill hall. The estimated cost is $12 million-$14 million. The contractor will be required to design, build, and maintain the facility for five years.

Solicitation number N40083-05-R-4204 is for the construction of multiple barracks, including infrastructure and demolition. This is an unrestricted competition with an aggressive small business subcontracting plan. The estimated cost is $17 million-$190 million.

Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Engineering Field Activity, Northeast, plans a solicitation for a multiple award environmental remediation contract. This is an 8(a) set-aside. The NAICS code is 562910. NAVFAC will award up to six indefinite quantity contracts with firm fixed price task orders. Task order will generally be between $25,000 and $1 million dollars. EPA will issue a solicitation to provide warehouse operations, equipment management and transportation services in Region I, which covers Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Is-land,. The contractor will operate a government-provided warehouse (location to be determined) and maintain government-owned equipment in the warehouse and at EPA’s Boston office.
