The National Quality Forum is seeking subcontractors on a HHS contract to help establish a portfolio of quality and efficiency measures that will enhance the federal government’s ability to more clearly see how and whether healthcare spending is achieving the best results for patients and taxpayers. One requirement of the contract is to fill critical measurement gaps. NQF will use a variety of methods to fill these gaps including development of healthcare performance measures that will ensure broad transparency on the value of care around the most prevalent conditions that account for the greatest share of healthcare spending. NQF will select several measure developers who will then have the opportunity to submit proposals in response to up to 10 measure development task order requests annually, over a 4-year period.
The full RFPs, including due dates, are posted at www.qualityforum.org. NQF is a private, non-profit membership organization committed to improving healthcare quality performance measurement and reporting.
