MicroTech CEO is out--temporarily
MicroTechnologies LLC can get back to work on federal contracts for now, as long as chief executive Anthony Jimenez gives up day-to-day control for 30 days while a federal investigation continues, the Washington Post reported.
The Small Business Administration lifted a suspension on MicroTech on Jan. 29 that it had imposed on Dec. 20. The agency has accused MicroTech and Jimenez of submitting false and misleading information to win contracts.
MicroTech agreed certain statements to the SBA were not accurate but blamed the error on a contractor it hired in 2005 to help gain entry to the SBA’s 8(a) program, the Post said.
The consultant, Alanson Anderson, told the Post that Jimenez authorized him to submit the information later deemed false. MicroTech declined to comment to the Post.
