You asked for it, and here it is: Set-Aside Alert’s list of the top 14 federal small business set-aside opportunities anticipated in fiscal 2014.

There are big programs here for many small companies. Several are aimed at multiple companies and are valued at $1 billion or more.

Defense opportunities take up an expanding part of the list, continuing a trend that began last year.

Large civilian set-asides are expected from the State Department, Homeland Security Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Set-Aside Alert has identified 14 of the largest set-aside opportunities for which solicitations are anticipated in fiscal 2014.

The list was compiled based on our own research as well as separate reports from research groups Deltek and Bloomberg Government as well as federal agency procurement forecasts.

A few of the Requests for Proposals have just been released or are imminent, while most of the RFPs for the opportunities on the list are expected to be published between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30 of 2014.
