NIH Seeks IT Sources for GWAC

The National Institutes of Health has issued a sources sought notice for a small business governmentwide acquisition contract to provide IT services.

The NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center released a draft RFP for the Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) GWAC. It is the successor to a contract that expires in December 2010. Although primarily intended for NIH’s IT needs, the contract will be open to all agencies.

The contract is divided into 10 task areas: biomedical research and healthcare; CIO support; imaging; IT infrastructure and services outsourcing; IT operations and maintenance; integration services; critical infrastructure protection and information assurance; digital government; enterprise management systems; and software development.

NIH posted a draft RFP in August for a follow-on to its Image World 2 New Dimensions (IW2nd) GWAC, which also expires in December 2010.

The solicitation number is CIO-SP3-SB-DRAFT.The NAICS code is 541512.
