24 schedules consolidating
The General Services Administration announced on Nov. 27 it will consolidate 24 separate Multiple-Award Schedules into a single schedule for products and services.
The GSA said the change will make it easier and more efficient to use the schedules as part of the GSA’s Federal Marketplace strategy.
“Reforming our schedules will improve customer service, make it easier for small businesses to access the schedules program, reduce duplication for all our vendors, and allows GSA’s workforce to focus on delivering solutions,” GSA Administrator Emily Murphy said in a news release. No timetable was given for the consolidation.
The schedules currently generate about $31 billion a year in orders.
Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Alan Thomas said the consolidation will provide “a single entry point” and “consistent practices” for all the schedules, and will reduce administrative burden for holders of multiple schedule contracts.
GSA is holding an Industry Day on the schedules consolidation in Washington on Dec. 12.
