    • Senator questions VA art purchase

    The Veterans Affairs Department is being asked to connect the dots to explain its recent $562,000 art work purchase.

    “It is very troubling that appropriations were not put to better use,” GOP Sen. Jerry Moran of Kansas, who is a member of the Senate veterans’ affairs and appropriations committees, wrote to VA Secretary Erik Shinseki.
