Shutdown’s many ripples: SBA offices closed; OASIS postponed
The impacts of the government shutdown that began Oct. 1 continue to ripple through small business government contracting.
SBA closed - The Small Business Administration is closed for all non-essential work, including most training, counseling, government contracting assistance, loan processing and the SBA.gov website.
OASIS delayed - The General Services Administration announced it has postponed the multi-billion-dollar “OASIS” professional services contract. The most recent due date was Oct. 10.
“In consideration of the government shutdown and the associated potential impact on the OASIS proposal preparation process, the proposal due date of this solicitation is hereby suspended indefinitely,” GSA wrote in a notice on FBO.gov.
New due dates will be set for both the small business line and unrestricted line once the government reopens. (Web link http://goo.gl/Sa5uts )
