Correction

“Few Minorities at Top Vendors”

Set-Aside Alert regrets that we mistakenly published incorrect information in the above story in the Sept. 18, 2020 edition.

Our article accurately reproduced findings published by Washington Technology. However, those findings were numerically incorrect and have since been corrected and updated on the Washington Technology website.

The correct numbers are as follows:

WashTech’s study identified the races and genders of 680 senior executives at the Top 100 largest federal contractors.

The study identified 38 Black senior executives of both genders at those companies, which represent 5.6% of the senior positions at those companies.

The study also identified 41 executives of Asian, Hispanic or other ethnic groups in the senior positions, which was 6%.

In total there were 79 executives of color in senior posts at the companies, or 11.6%.

      We regret the error.
