Top 8(a) Firms in IT Are Ranked

Eight Native American and Alaskan Native companies are among the 25 largest 8(a) information technology contractors for the federal government, according to the trade newspaper Washington Technology.

The leader in 2002 contracting was Force3 Inc. of Crofton, MD, with $105.9 million in IT revenue, about one-third of that from 8(a) set-asides. The companies are ranked by total IT contracts, not 8(a) revenue.

The top-ranked Native American company is Choctaw of Durant, OK, in third place with $47.7 million in IT revenue.
