NASA Names Award-Winning Contractors

NASA has named Zin Technologies Inc., as its Minority Contractor of the Year, Arcata Associates Inc. as its Minority Subcontractor of the Year, and Analytical Services Inc. as its Women-Owned Business of the Year.

The winners will be honored Sept. 23 at agency headquarters.

Zin Technologies of Brook Park, OH, is a prime contractor at NASA’s Glenn Research Center. It provides microgravity research, development, and operates microgravity science payloads for ground and spaceflight research. Zin has partnered with Glenn on more than 95 science payloads since 1990.

The company has operated science payloads on the International Space Station since April, 2001.

Arcata Associates Inc. is headquartered in North Las Vegas, NV, and is a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin and Computer Sciences Corp. at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. Arcata provides video teleconferencing and voice teleconferencing support under the Consolidated Space Operations Contract.

Buck W. Wong founded Arcata in 1979. Today the company is led by his children, Tim Wong and Nancy Wong.

Analytical Services Inc. provides program planning and development support services to the Orbital Space Plane program
