    • Federal travel per diem raised by $6 per day

    Breaking a two-year freeze, the General Services Administration raised the per diem travel allowance for federal employees, starting Oct. 1.

    The standard rate for lodging will increase from $77 to $83 per day. Meal and incidental per diems will remain at $46.

    GSA also announced the elimination of the Conference Lodging Allowance, which allowed federal travelers to spend 25% more than per diem rates for conferences.
