TSA Picks Small Firm for Information Assurance

Knowledge Consulting Group, a small business in Reston, VA, has been chosen to provide Information Assurance Support Services (IASS) to the Transportation Security Administration.

The company said it has been awarded a $20 million, five-year blanket purchase agreement to support TSA’s Information Technology Security Office.

Under the first task order, worth about $3.4 million in the first calendar year, KCG personnel will begin providing on-site support to TSA within the next 30 days.

Computer Sciences Corp. will serve as subcontractor on the program. The two companies currently work together on the Justice Department’s IT Security Support contract.

“TSA plays a central role in our nation’s homeland security by protecting our transportation system,” said KCG President Maryann Hirsch. “Information quality, and importantly its integrity and security, are critical to TSA’s mission success. We are proud to partner with TSA and provide our unique services in supporting TSA’s IA mission and our nation’s homeland security.”
