Online Update: Intelligence Agencies To Award Set-Asides for IT

The Defense Intelligence Agency plans to award four IDIQ small business set-aside contracts to provide IT services for the entire intelligence community. Four more contracts will be full and open.

DIA’s draft RFP for Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise (SITE), issued Aug. 4, says the five-year contracts have a ceiling of $1.2 billion. Contractors will serve the Defense Department intelligence community, all four military services and non-Defense agencies with intelligence missions.

The new contracts will replace the Air Force’s $2 billion Intelligence Information, Command and Control Equipment and Enhancement (ICE2) contract and the Defense Intelligence Information System Integration and Engineering Support broad purchase agreements.

DIA plans to make awards in two service areas, one for engineering and support services and another for hardware, installation and fielding of systems and equipment.

The draft RFP is number HHM402-08-R-0150. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for Sept. 3. The final RFP is due September 30, with awards planned for next March.
