A company must be verified to be eligible for VA’s Veterans First program, which sets aside contracts for veteran-owned firms. VA said other agencies will also rely on the database to find veteran- and SDV-owned contractors. Under an interim rule effective May 19, businesses are required to complete an online affidavit at VA’s Vendor Information Pages, attesting that they are veteran-owned or SDV-owned.
