Having trouble with FBO.gov?
Web-hosting changes affect some services
The Federal Business Opportunities website (FBO.gov) has moved to a new hosting environment on the Internet, which may be causing some glitches for users whose computers have strict IT security requirements.
The General Services Administration announced that the contractor who manages FBO for the government recently changed the Website hosting environment and the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses associated with the site.
Most users won’t notice any change, according to GSA.
But if your company has set up an interface with the FBO Website to receive email confirmations, or to receive data from FBO on an automatic or regular basis, those may be disrupted. Companies that use the File Transfer Protocol on sites managed by FBO may be affected as well.
These users will need to work with their IT units to recognize the new IP address for the FBO Website in order to continue those access and file-transfer privileges.
If your company experiences any of these issues due to the FBO’s new IP Address, GSA suggests you contact the FBO Program Manager, John Corro at john.corro@gsa.gov.
