Small Firms Share Army IT Contract

Three small businesses and four large primes have been chosen for the Army’s Strategic Services Sourcing program, a 10-year contract worth up to $19.25 billion.

The companies will compete for task orders to provide engineering, logistics and business operations support services for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. The Army Communications-Electronics Lifecycle Management Command at Fort Monmouth, NJ, awarded the contract.

The small firms are Sensor Technologies Inc. of Red Bank, NJ; USFalcon Inc. (formerly Mill City Connections Inc.), an 8(a) SDV firm in Lowell, MA; and ViaTech Inc., a small disadvantaged business in Eatontown, NJ.

The large-company winners are Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., CACI International Inc., Computer Sciences Corp. and Lockheed Martin.

Lockheed Martin said its team includes 12 large businesses, 25 small ones and the Tobyhanna Army Depot. Booz Allen said it has more than 40 subcontractors.

The contract consolidates five expiring ones, according to Booz Allen.
