Set-Aside Alert exclusive:
Women-Owned Opportunities
& Top WOSB/EDWOSB firms
While the government appears unlikely to reach its goal for procurements from Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs) for the most recent fiscal year, there are still many opportunities available for such firms.
To give our readers advance notice of possible set-asides, Set-Aside Alert has compiled the Top 75 WOSB contracts and the Top 25 Economically-Disadvantaged WOSB set-aside contracts expiring in 2018 and 2019 (see INSERT). Expiring set-aside contracts often are renewed as set-asides, and present an opportunity for new bidders to compete for the work.
Set-Aside Alert also compiled a list of the Top 50 WOSB firms and Top 25 EDWOSB firms, on page 4.
Meanwhile, the White House’s Small Business Dashboard, with regularly-updated data, shows WOSB goal achievement for fiscal 2017 at 4.42%. That figure is not yet official. It falls short of the 5% goal, which was last achieved in fiscal 2015.
