GSA Details Plans for “Integration” Contract
GSA is moving ahead with plans for a new professional services contract vehicle called Integrations.
Mary Davie, assistant commissioner of the Office of Integrated Technology Services, said the agency is preparing a business case for approval by the Office of Management and Budget.
“While GSA’s Schedules program offers technology and other professional services on an a la carte basis, agencies have asked us to provide a total professional services solution, which often requires acquisition of multiple services across separate functional areas,” she wrote in a blog post.
“Integrations will be a strategic program enabling acquisition of complex integrated professional services along with supporting technology.”
GSA said it plans to post draft documents for industry feedback and establish a customer working group representing government agencies. No timeline has been determined, but Davie said the business case will be submitted to OMB in the spring.
“GSA is committed to making the contract development process as transparent as possible, and ensure maximum participation by agencies and industry throughout this process,” she wrote.
The agency has established an online Integrations Industry Community to solicit feedback at http://interact.gsa.gov/group/integrations-industry-community. Davie has scheduled a Tweet Chat Feb. 29 at 2 p.m. Eastern time. Send questions to @GSA_ITS and use hashtag #ITSChat.
